About

Having committed to writing a blog back in January, the day has finally arrived when I’ve actually put pen to paper… or more accurately, fingers to keyboard, and write something enlightening, or at the very least, sensible. I had so many good ideas to begin with… I thought it would be great…. enriching, educational…. maybe even spiritual (ok, let’s not get carried away here… I’m not Gandhi). Nay, in the sobering light of day, all those supposedly great ideas have vanished into the ether together with my ability to formulate a proper sentence.

So a bit about why I’m writing this blog… I lost my mum to cancer at the end of 2014 and I feel the loss of our friendship every day. She had always wanted to travel but as a result of her comorbidity, she was confined to Europe and at the end, just her bedroom. I travelled and experienced things for both of us, and she would love nothing more than to hear my stories when I returned. So I’m writing this blog to continue to travel for both of us, and to share my experiences of countries, places, hotels, airlines, and everything else in between, for any other discerning travellers out there. I’ve always relied heavily on the travel blogging community when planning my trips, so I hope that I too can add something valuable, whilst also throwing in the odd concomittant crazy story! So, on that utopian bombshell, I will start with one of my favourite trips of all time… unforgettable India…

Lastly, please do subscribe so you can keep up to date with my ramblings! Big love x
